UK seminars and workshop, April 2025

I’ve been spending the month of April 2025 in the UK, catching up with colleagues and sharing my work at various institutions. I presented my draft work on urban collectives as victims of international human rights violations at a seminar to the Development Planning Unit at University College London on 2 April and at a seminar to the Law School and School of Geographical Sciences at the University of Bristol on 24 April. I was also at Southampton Law School, presenting on socio-economic rights as adaptive law for urban resilience on 14 April. I’m ending the month with a two day authors’ workshop on the juridification of justice at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law at Cambridge University, tomorrow 29 April and Wednesday 30 April. My contribution to the workshop, and the edited volume that is planned to result from it, is on how litigation on the right to housing has shaped possibilities for spatial justice in South African cities.
