It was great to be back at LSE Cities where, on Wednesday 1 July 2026, I presented a talk entitled “Urbanising human rights law”. Representing my broader research agenda into the evolving content of human rights in urban contexts, the talk drew from recent and current work on urban collectives as victims of human rights violations, the urban evolution of rights to health and freedom of religion, and the ways international human rights and humanitarian law engages urban infrastructure. Much of this work was done during my visiting stint at LSE cities in late 2025, so the talk doubled as a “thank you” for that enriching experience.
